Jonny is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where he studied the organ, and has a Master's Degree in Jazz Piano from Trinity Laban.

​Exposed to classical music during his youth, Jonny was playing the Church Organ at Mass every Sunday from the age of 13. During his late teen years, although progressing rapidly as an organist, Jonny discovered jazz.

​

While studying the organ at the Academy, Jonny became deeply immersed in the jazz genre. The inspiration and lure of jazz music drove Jonny to teach himself jazz piano in his spare time. It was also during this time that he started composing his own music. His obsession with jazz harmony led him to discover other genres such as Latin, Funk, Soul, House and Jungle, which provide a strong influence in his music.

Jonny has just released his 2nd album The Next Chapter which features a combination of original solo piano and band compositions. This is a follow-up to his debut album Mellow Mind released in 2020, as well as his 2 EP's A Message Through Sound  and New Days & Past Times.

As well as performing as a keyboardist, Jonny is also a very keen Producer & DJ, and has released 3 Deep House EP's (Deep House Dubs Project, Diary Of A Keys Man & London Past & Present), a Jungle EP (Wise Eyes) & a Jungle Remix of his jazz composition Memories from Mellow Mind. Jonny has recently started his own DJ Collective called Minor 9 Collective, mixing old and new school Jungle tracks on vinyl. 

 

Blending his life experiences with great musical influences from Johann Sebastian Bach to Lyle Mays, George Duke to Photek, Jonny is destined to share his richly blended sound with the world.
